Dear Ole Grand Dad

Dear ole grand dad my best friend,
You were always there for me until the end.
Now that you have passed I pray you know how much you meant to me
And know that until I too pass in my heart forever you will always be.
Dear ole grand dad my best friend,
You are still always with me and will be until my end.

Day By Day

Day by day we become a little older.
Day by day our hearts get a little colder.
Day by day we become a little greyer.
Day by day our skin gets a little saggier.
Day by day we become a little slower.
Day by day our height gets a little lower.
Day by day we become a little forgetful.
Day by day our life gets a little less dull.

Passing Time

I miss you more than any poem could ever say,
But here I will continue to write each passing day.

Mmm Mmm Mmm H2O

My Grandpa, My Bestfriend

Hey there, Good Looking

Back in the Day

A trickling creek races around rocks and over stones
Descending rapidly and smoothly down the mountain side.
Children rush inside a small country school house
Leaping over knapsacks and weaving through the crowd.

Italian Alps

A white dove descends from the church steeple
Takes full flight soaring through the cotton clouds.
The church bells begin to toll On Monday morn'
Let the excitement of another work week begin.

Forever is a Very Long Time

My love for you ever growing, seems to know no end
You are a sacred angel from heaven you did descend.
My crushed emotionless heart only you could mend
Now you are my everything and my only true friend.

Life's Journey

And so our great journey has begun,
There is no telling where we will go or what we will do
Or even how we will get there.
The only thing known is we will be better people
When everything has been said and done.
It is knowing this that will keep us pushing through
as we continue to fight the good fight.
Making this world a better place for ourselves and our children.

Hey There, My Name is Sammy

Good Evening World from Canada

We've All Been Here

Unpreserved dirt trail winds vigorously through the wind
Tunnelled by dense thatch whirling about in despair.

Mardi Gras

As we weave our way through the city street
We are surrounded by singing, dancing and a funky beat.
Everyone a jivin' and a boppin' immune to the heat.

Sawn Timber

Razor sharp teeth in perfect synchronicity tear through grains of timber
Gradually creeping in further with each stroke of the blade.

Swaying With the Breeze

Wild grapes draped over a wrought iron fence
Melodically sway in the crisp autumn breeze.

Why?

As I stare off into the misty morning sky
I have many questions but mainly why?
Why has God chosen for me too end up here?
No fame no fortune and a future unclear.

Fog the Snake

Really Simple and Delicious Honey Mustard Asparagus

1 lb. of asparagus
2 tbsp. honey mustard
1 tbsp. olive oil, butter or margarine
1 tbsp. sour cream
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
A dash of paprika
salt and pepper to taste

Cook asparagus in your preferred method.  I suggest sauteing in olive oil or on the BBQ but boiled, steamed, etc. all work well.
While the asparagus is cooking mix all the other ingredients into a small sauce pan and simmer until a consistant texture is achieved in the sauce
Pour sauce over cooked asparagus and serve
